INSA tables Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Proclamation to Parliament
The Information Network Security Administration tabled a long-stalled Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Proclamation to Parliament after more than two years of legal review, identifying 11 sectors as critical infrastructure. INSA reported 8,000 cyberattacks on Ethiopia in 2023/24 versus under 100 a year two decades ago, citing rising exposure from National ID, banking, mobile money and e-procurement platforms.
