Ethiopia to reconsider fuel-powered auto import ban as part of WTO accession
Trade Minister Kassahun Gofe told the seventh WTO Working Party Meeting that Ethiopia plans to revisit its early-2024 ban on fuel-powered automobile and three-wheeler imports to align with WTO requirements. The reconsideration mirrors a recent move to replace the used-clothing import ban with a customs duty.
