Ethiopia dispatches over 500,000 workers abroad in nine months: MoLS

State Minister of Labor and Skills Daniel Teressa said Ethiopia sent more than 500,000 workers abroad in nine months, mainly to Gulf countries, up from about 40,000 annually in 2022. Officials credited structural reforms, digitalization and revisions to the Overseas Employment Proclamation.
