PM Abiy says import substitution saved Ethiopia 14.5 billion USD over four years

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed told the 4th Made in Ethiopia Expo that locally manufactured goods have saved roughly 14.5 billion USD in import bills over the past four years, framing import substitution as a core pillar of Ethiopia's economic transformation. The expo opened May 3 in Addis Ababa.
