Horn inter-elite dialogue establishes permanent regional cooperation platform

A high-level Horn inter-elite dialogue in Jigjiga declared the creation of a permanent regional platform for dialogue, peace building and trade integration across the Horn of Africa, with its secretariat based in Jigjiga. Participants cited fragmented cooperation and competition over Red Sea corridors as drivers.
