Ethiopia public debt reaches 51.8 billion USD, Finance Minister Shide tells parliament

Finance Minister Ahmed Shide told parliament's Standing Committee on Planning, Budget and Finance that Ethiopia's total public debt has reached 51.8 billion USD, with 33.5 billion USD external and 18.3 billion USD domestic. Shide called the overall position very healthy and cited improving external debt repayment capacity, with 463.4 billion birr allocated for debt service in the nine-month performance report.
