Ethiopia's IT Park hosts over 80 firms as government pushes innovation-led import substitution

IT Park CEO Belete Esubalew said the facility was established to position Ethiopia as an Africa innovation hub and now hosts over 80 local and international companies engaged in innovation-driven work. He said the government is striving to substitute imports of innovative products and services by building domestic digital capacity.
