Ethiopia doubles installed power generation capacity in seven years, EEP says

Ethiopian Electric Power Communication Director Moges Mekonnen told ENA installed power generation capacity has more than doubled to 9,752 MW from 4,462 MW over seven years, while national electricity access rose from 44 percent to about 54 percent. The expansion supports Ethiopia's drive to become a leading renewable energy hub in Africa.
