AU chairperson calls for end to historical injustice in UN Security Council reform

AU Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf told an Africa-France Summit ministerial in Nairobi that Africa is demanding correction of a historical injustice through permanent representation on the UN Security Council. Citing the Ezulwini Consensus, Africa is asking for at least two permanent seats with veto privileges and five non-permanent seats.
