AICC approves 7.5 billion birr second-phase expansion despite first-year loss

Addis International Convention Center Share Company approved a 7.537 billion birr second-phase expansion to be completed within 36 months, despite posting a 150.4 million birr net loss in its first year of operation. The expansion will add a 3,100-seat plenary hall, two auditoriums, expanded trade-fair halls, a childcare center and parking for over 800 vehicles to strengthen Addis Ababa's positioning as a regional MICE hub.
